About Founder
Learnergy Group was founded by Ntsako Mhlanga, a visionary leader passionate about transforming the educational landscape in South Africa. She is an award-winning social entrepreneur and educationist whose contributions have positively impacted the lives of many young South Africans. Ntsako's journey began when she was selected by the Human Rights Commission to represent the learners of South Africa, presenting a report during a national investigative hearing on the effect of protests on the right to education. Her advocacy resulted in the provision of 20 mobile classrooms in Limpopo to support learners affected by school disruptions.
She later collaborated with the Department of Basic Education on a documentary titled 'Schools That Work,' visiting 111 top-performing schools to uncover their success strategies. This documentary, along with its learning resources, was distributed to underperforming schools to support academic improvement. Ntsako holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Regenesys Business School and a certificate in Radio Production from Wits Radio Academy.
Her dedication earned her an invitation to the State of the Nation Address in 2019 to represent South African learners. She currently serves as an ambassador for School Aid, a charity supporting the development of libraries and distribution of learning resources in developing countries. Additionally, Ntsako is a Brand South Africa 'Play Your Part' ambassador, promoting positive stories of change across the country. Recognized as one of the Mail and Guardian's Top 200 Young South Africans in 2020, she also served as Head of Communications at Africa Teen Geeks, a leading STEM-focused NGO. Ntsako is working on a documentary about the June 1976 uprising and is a radio presenter at SABC's Channel Africa. Her passion for education and youth development led to the establishment of Learnergy Group in partnership with Eastgate Shopping Centre.
